The atmosphere at Avalon Beach is a way of life. The relaxed mood of the suburb has marked my life in such a way, that as I have grown, my personality has changed and altered with it. Everyone knows everyone, so you always see a friendly smile as you walk down the street. I feel like a part of an extended family.
I took this image at the little nippers Christmas party, early one morning. Sunday mornings are always busy with families running towards the club house to make it on time for nippers. I stood there watching as the children laughed and played among the sand and water, while the parents sat on the sand catching up on the latest gossip. Here, I managed to capture the beauty and raw emotion of unconstrained Australian youth.
