Mud men

I grew up in Normanhurst, and loved the natural and unpretentious ways of the locals. Now 30 odd years later, and with kids, I'm loving that same influence on their lives in a natural and beautiful setting. This is my 6 year old playing a soccer semi-final with his Hornsby Heights team in the rain. Winning came second to the mud lake in the middle of the oval. They giggled and splashed their way through the game, and found any excuse to kick the ball in to the middle of it so they could all dive in to get it! It was the funniest and most entertaining Saturday us parents had had for ages!
