The Newtown Community Garden has made a huge impact on me. I was able to get out of the house and into the sunshine to mingle with the local community when Isabella was just a little baby and things seemed a little daunting to me at the time. With the help of knowledgeable fellow gardeners, I was shown how to grow lovely leafy spinach, high in iron for my baby. We both benefited from the garden and together we are learning something new each day!
