Learning and seeing how things were done and how people lived back in the early days is very interesting and it's wonderful that we are still able to visit such amazing places that are all a part of Australia's history. Arltunga was officially Central Australia's first town. Gold was found in a dry creek bed in 1887. A very busy and thriving community back then, but now a quiet, dry little ghost town.
