Creatively explore the theme 'Make Your Mark Australia' through your photograph.
I volunteered in the Tiwi for Red Cross for a recreational program for the youth. I not only found hope, strength and courage from the young indigenous people, I discovered a true source of Australia's heritage for the first time in my life. Body painting traditionally carries deep spiritual significance for Australian Aboriginal people and I feel this image summarises Australian tradition, our red earth heart and our important heritage.
