'What makes a mark on your Australia?'
The legend of Sir Donald Bradman has surpassed that of any other cricketer and, as such, deserves the recognition of an entire nation. Perfection is a word often thrown around without meaning and to achieve perfection is not to have an average of 100 (although some might think so), it is the dedication to a discipline which shapes a personality and leaves its mark on a nation. Above all else, Sir Donald Bradman was persistent. As a child, he would toil away for hours hitting a golf ball against the brick base of a corrugated iron water tank. This is just one example of the type of dedication that The Don displayed and that, in itself, is the true spirit which makes Australia not only unique, but great. Sir Donald Bradman has made his mark on Australia and on me, a sportsman growing up in Australia.
