Since the dawn of time, the people of this island continent have made invaluable contributions to not only its own inhabitants, but also to the world at large. This is particularly evident in the important achievements Australia has made which have influenced humanity on a global scale.

Our proud national identity is formed by its people – the people we see at the local shops, the people who represent us at sporting events, the people who portray our culture on stage and screen, and the people who migrate here and bring their own unique ideas and culture to enrich ours.
