Probably one of the most photographed, facebooked and twittered days in Sydneys recent history. When I woke to the red dawn steaming through my apartment in Freshwater I couldnt grab the camera quick enough and take a drive down to the beach to catch some of what was going on. It amazed me that people were still exercising in the dust storm. Maybe some were up too early to be told by the news press what it was and the hazards of getting a lung full of Central Australian red dirt. Never the less it made for some great shots and this eery, Mars like shot of a surfer getting out of the water after an uncrowded and rouge tinged wave or two made the cut for my landscape shot
