My boyfriend and I drove 2,500 kms from Sydney to the Birdsville Races, camping all the way, and met my family there. They had driven from Townsville across the top of Australia and then across central Australia from Carnarvon to Birdsville. It was the best holiday I've ever been on, notwithstanding 3 years spent in Europe. We all had a terrific time at the races and Dad had a great Father's Day ! It was the first time we had all been with him for many years.
